I'm waiting on a 6s battery to show up for my newly built 450l. What would hapen if I tried my 3s battery on it? I used the 3s battery to get the 3gx set up and servos all set up. I figured I'd try running the motor and see if it would hover but I got a really bad shake when I was about to lift off. I'm guessing that's probably normal for such a low head speed? Or could my blades be out of track or balance. This is my first fbl heli and I'm kind of scared of it. I don't want it to crash me before I get off the ground.

It's DFC a low headspeed will cause the heli to bobble not a good idea.
you can do the set-up that's about it.
Tip for setting 0*
put your left stick at mid with everything on, fold the main blades, the tips should touch each other, while holding it sideways in your hand.

spending time, paying attention

That's how I've always kind of check my blades pitch since I don't have a pitch gauge. I leveled the swash plate by looking at it and the pitch and cyclic pitch I used my iphone level with it on the flat of the blade grips. I think I got it set up good.

Can you describe the 'shake'? Was it the tail? Was it a high frequency shake or slower wobble?

The 450L should just about fly on a 3s pack if you run 100% throttle, you would get around 1900 rpm. Make sure the blades aren't too tight in the grips, at low rpm there might not be enough centrifugal force to fully straighten them.

60% of the time, it works every time!
