.... Buy a heli this small.

I have not had any real rcheli flying in the past 12 months. My last flight was the Furion6 in Oct. of 2012. Not enough time was my reason for not flying this past year.
Anyway, I bought this cheap at my lhs on clearance. It not the bl but it flies ok. Good enough to pack with my lunch and bring it to work.
Was a little rusty on the sticks but have not crashed it yet. Starting to feel comfy on the sticks again.
Looking forward to getting the big stuff back in the AIR.
I'm back up and flying.

I had an r50 titan se last year. I said I was done with helis and sold all my gear. I went on to flying turbine jets.

As of june 2013 this year I have gaui x7, 2 ma whips and fly more then I ever did. You cant leave this hobby.

Can't. Scary ****.

Btw the BL version of the mcpx blows the old version out of the water. Its no contest. The bl you can actually do some really intriquite stuff for a small heli. Really impressed witht he as3x or wtv they call it.

heli-cuzz,

I know this guy personally. Hes a good guy. Im not saying you need to drop 200 bucks on this heli but some of these upgrades like the brushless upgrade are pretty sweet.

Its been awhile and my friendly new caster says its going to be a brisk 32 deg F. tomorrow.

No problem except I need open hands on the tx! That's the draw back of winter flying, I would get a radio mitt but ive heard people hate them and they feel claustrophobic or they are just not ergonomically correct..

Any ideas for us living on the north pole? Not to steal your thread. Glad your back!

That sounds all too familiar. LoL What thread of mine did you pull that quote from?

A micro NOBAR???? I just might have to try it....

westwindpilot, thanks for the link. I'll have to look into it.

Even if it is a pos micro heli it feels great to be flying on a daily basis again. I am surprised how well it handles the wind.

Its 35 degrees here today. I just brave the cold gloveless for 5 minutes at a time.

The new Align 150 will be out soon and I can't wait to hear just how this one will perform. I would hold off buying anything until this Align one comes out.

Good to hear ur back. This heli may be small and have its issues but this is the heli that got me over the hurdle of backwards inverted flight. Didn't care if I crashed it, just practiced over high weeds and ussually no damage at all, even when I put it in hard. Worth what I had into for what it saved me in crash cost. Also nice that you could just go out in the backyard and practice a flight and go back indoors to warm up/charge up for another one. Give me a call anytime you'd like to get together to do some flying, whatever helis you would like-- Nitro/Elec/Micros/FB/FBL, I fly em all. I got a field nearby.

Never thought I'd be in the market for another skeeter sized heli.
Its nice to be able to fit it in my cooler and take it to work.
For now lunchtime is my only time to fly. A high performance bigger micro heli sounds like a near future item for me. I watched the Szabo Trex150 vid. Looks pretty good.

Paul, I'll give ya a call sometime soon and will go fly the bigguns.

Haven't read a post from you in a while.

I got inspired to do the nobar years ago.

Everyone said it would instantly crash , well it didn't. In fact it flew great , even with the expo all messed up.
I had 80% expo dialed in , but the wrong way !! still flew it and auto'd it several times. Guys at field couldn't believe it.

That was on my 600. Tried my protos 500 nobar , it was a lot harder , heli was just spooky. Then I got the great idea to convert my 450v2 to no bar and fly it indoors to boot (dumb). Well this thing is like a hummingbird on crack , nasty.

So for me I say no less than 50 size/600 and it works well.

Best flying micro I've flown -- 130x , flies bigger than a 450 I think. Tough little bugger also.
