dfc 800 tight main gear/pinion
As mentioned above - was enjoyjng the build process of the 800- when it came to installing the main gear into the frame - I couldn't get the main gear to spin freely with the pinion - is the pinion suppose sit flush on the washer that sits in the pinion bearing block - or have I missed a process? I align the main shaft up with the 3 bearing blocks etc

Yes, on mine I couldn't get any lash between the main and pinion gears. They seem to turn tight. I emailed Align and they said it was supposed to be like that. I have 6 flights on mine now and no noise or funny ware on the gears and it seem to loosen up after a few flights. And the washer sets the space between the bearing block and the pinion. They want the bottom of the pinion to be level with the bottom of the main gear.
