Try this from Spektrum...

http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/...ProdID=SPMA9569

EDIT --- CORRECTION:

Original post said to swap red and black wires...that is NOT correct.

Did some checking, for the sensor in the picture above, you want to use this guy just the way it comes out of the package. Red wire on outside, black in the middle.

I think I have the adapter to use a regular Spektrum back plate sensor on Align governors.

I used it on a 3GX.

I would give it away if I can find it.
I'll go look....Doing a BUNCH of Phoenix updates and have some time.lol...

Yep...Here we go.

Easier than messing with those tiny wires but adds another connection.
Works great though.

If nothing else,it illustrates dkshemas wiring tip.

PM your address.

Make sure you get the regular Spektrum back plate sensor with the normal servo plug if you plan to use my adapter.

Will this same sensor work with myVbar gov function? Does the sensor need to touch the back plate or do I leave a slight gap?
I too run a OS 55 .

Thanks

Yep...The one I posted.
No adapter and no rewiring...plug and play.

It needs to almost touch or even touch.
Mine was barely touching.
The stock mount has hard choices.
Use the one that is closest to the back late.

Ok got it, thanks.
Any special settings needed on the Vbar or will it recognize the sensor and automatically know what to do?

Thanks

Once you turn the starter shaft (slowly) and the crankshaft pin passes the sensor, you'll see the magnet button on the vbar software turn green.

You should also get this since that plastic won't last long.

Nothing special.
It's just a magnetic sensor just like all RPM sensors.
The magnet just happens to be in the sensor instead of the fan or clutch bell.

I ordered the KDE bracket. A much more satisfying arrangement.

Question, will I test the governor the same was as the Align? Will I get a flash on the red LED when I crank the engine over by hand?
