Yes. Cat 6 is rated for higher data rates than Cat 5 or 5e. It's just like the HDMI discussion above.

It should be really easy to find online.

OK, I do have an ethernet connection on my laptop...
sounds like I could hook it to the TV with a Cat 5 or 6 cable?

You would still need some kind of converter like the link below, and hdmi ports on both devices. I would look for a video cable that matches connections on both the pc and tv if possible.

http://www.amazon.com/Generic-HDMI-...+hdmi+converter

We made up some rules can we have your moneys now.

That's not for video but for internet connectivity.

OK, doesn't make much sense to go the ethernet connection at all then.
I tried some kind of converter, I think from the serial port to HDMI and it didn't work well at all...very slow.
Guess I'll just keep simming on my little laptop, until I can talk myself into buying a new one with an HDMI port, but that would take potential heli money

It's a 20 mile trip for a cheeseburger
Worse comes to worse I'm sure Radio Shack has it or can order it for you. Don't tell me you don't have a Radio Shack near you? They're every where!

We have a Radio Shack but it's the size of a shoe box and doesn't even carry a decent soldering iron.

They'll order stuff for you but I can order it from the same place they do and not pay sales tax.
