are people that bought a recent kit still having these issues? I am really interested in the gasser coming out but don't want to deal with stuff breaking for a 1200-1300 buck 30 size

I was looking at the new NX4 gasser version, maybe I will look at the Thunder Tiger G4.1G when it comes out. At least until all the bugs are worked out...Team Miniature Aircraft

Me again - broken clutch shoe again 16th tank after new clutch and Lynx liner. Sick and tired of this. I love the heli and will fix it again. But this sucks. Everything spinning true as far as I can tell. If anything, the liner-to-clutch gap was TOO small. The clutch may have heated up? when I have to hold it from spinning after it starts, but only long enough to quickly put the thing over on the ground to let it spool up. Good grief. Update...
Here's my most recent experience with NX4:

After weeks of wondering if I even wanted to buy yet another clutch, I did and also got a new clutch bell (at Aero Hobbies). Well, in the process of repairing, took apart the starting shaft from the old clutch bell to discover that the bottom bearing in the upper starter block totally had disintegrated and just fell apart when I dropped the shaft down. This could have been the problem... SO, I ordered a new starter shaft block with new bearings. I will report in the future as to how long THIS clutch might last.

anyone had any recent issues? just had my tail hub break on the 9th flight, no hard landings... I got it down without further damage but it took some expensive parts out in the process. over 100 bucks worth, I emailed jc so hopefully he can help me out

In case anybody is wondering (well, just for your grins), my new clutch, bell, and new upper bearing lasted a total of 2 1/2 tanks before breaking again.

I have pulled all of the electronics out of the NX4 (IKON, servos, receivers), and am almost ready to first flight my new Goblin 500 kit this week .

I enjoyed the NX4, but it has been thrown into a closet.

Your experience may vary. I never had a single other problem with it except for constantly breaking those cheap metal clutches.

nx 4 issues
I have been flying my nx 4 for 12 months in that time the only failure iv had was the tail pitch slider due most probably to a tail strike i fly the nx 4 more than any off my other 2 nitros the main thing with it or any nitro is maintanace Do the maintance and your less likly to have problems oil and clean bearings regularly check all fasteners are still tight if you find play anyware fix it before it causes a failure elseware.
When an upgrade is made available to fix an issue use it
One thing to remember all companys have problems align nitros have clutch issues velocity,sab goblins etc you name it they all have there own issues
Bottom line if you want an nx 4 go get one maintain it an follow the tips when building and you will have a blast
