I am completing my X5 FES build and will be ordering packs soon. I have been looking at these. http://www.buddyrc.com/glacier-45c-4000mah-6s.html Can anyone confirm that these fit with the battery fence and no mods?

those are great battery's but you only need the 30c.
I have a X5 fes also and they come down barely warm.

Good to know, the 30c packs are a bargain. How do you like the X5FES? I can't wait to get get it in the air.

Very solid machine from what I remember. Never gave me any issues, kinda regret selling. The Pulse 3700's worked well at 45c with the fence, plus they offer a crash credit like thunder power.

I second what helicoop said...The "C" ratings are marketing ploys to get everyone to buy the highest C rated packs.

A quality 30c pack with the largest capacity (mah) that will fit is the better investment.

The EC5 connector is rated at 125amps and isn't coming close to being maxed out with a 30c pack.

Marketing...Marketing...Marketing!

I don't know, if your flying hard, in a hot environment you might want more, I do agree the companies selling batteries BS the C a bunch...

I am not flying super hard, but even on a day where it was 50ish outside the batteries got warm... and they are new and 45C, so in the Summer I wouldn't want less than 40C here.
