Hey guys,

I am super pumped about my new station. It's the great PowerLab8 paired with an EFeul 1200w power supply. It cost roughly around $600 and man, worth every penny...

I just finished wiring up a bunch of extensions for the board so that I don't have to take the packs off the trays to charge. How awesome is that! I can now charge 4 6s 5,000 packs with ease.

This power supply is pretty sweet too. It never even turns its fan on but only for a second here and there, staying super quiet. I love the voltage dial as well. I can tone down the power to run a smaller charger if I'd like and it also has 3 additional ports on the side for that as well.

I'm sure I'll get my use out of this set up. I'm extremely happy with it. Now I just have to find a way to case it all up for easy transport.

Thanks for listening to my excitement!
Take care all!

Jason M.

Sweet, I am waiting for the Dual PL8 to come out and have started getting the power supplies for it (going to use 2 Meanwell RSP-2000-48 volt supplies)

That's awesome man. I wanted to get the duel one but they were out of stock EVERYWHERE and prob will be for a while. The single port is fine because of the board. It charged 4 5,000 packs in 30 mins at only 1.5c. I don't think it can get much better than that.

Its out of stock because it hasn't been released yet lol. It is scheduled to be released end of November.

Upgrading from my Hyperion 720iDuo so you probably will see it posted up soon

Oh, duh! I guess that's a good reason lol. My last one was a TP820 and that thing caused me a lot of problems. I'm super happy with this and I'm sure you will be with your duel port PL.

I remember you had the TP. They just never seemed to be that good consistently. I was about to pull the trigger on the PL8 but once I saw the Dual Port, I thought I might as well wait (was going to get two anyway)

Did you pick it up from the Prop Shop or someplace else? I have been looking at Progressive but not sure

You're absolutely right, they weren't. It worked great for a little bit but then it over charged a 6s pack which cause me a whole bunch of trouble. I flew that pack thinking it was ok after cycling it a few times on the charger and it went up in flames during a flight...

I got my PL8 from HeliDirect about 2 wks ago. I buy a lot from them. The Prop Shop doesn't carry them, I don't think...
