Go for the BD3SX if you do not intend inhouse flying.

Go with the bdsx. Smaller helis are harder to fly. The hc3sx gave me confidence to do everything I was trying with the sim and then some. You will crash the mcpx bl and have to fix it every time you fly. Don't get me wrong I love my bl but piro looping a g700 is a lot more impressive than crashing a bl.

Roger and squeely,

I would love to try the BD3sx. only thing that favours the mcpx bl is that with mcpx i can fly almost daily.
With my gaui x5 n raptor i have to wait till weekend no matter what.

At the moment they both are in my cart. One has to be removed. Dont say that i shall get both as at this point i cannot.

Nothing can replace stick time.

I have both and this is a really tough question. Both have allowed me to progress much faster.

With the BL you have potential for more stick time because you can fly it near anywhere. In my experience most crashes I just pick it up, look to see if anything broke, sit it down, fly again. Even if I were to break something it is usually a really inexpensive repair regardless.

I have had the BD3SX on both my TREX 600 and Protos 500. It is awesome being able to fly with so much confidence to try any move you want. One warning though: You must hit the button when the time comes. Just because it can bailout doesn't mean it does it automatically. That was a $200 lesson for me while I was attempting full piroflips. You have to train yourself for it.

I personally think either will help you advance.

Yeah, that is the main reason I haven't tried one yet. I almost never remember to hit Throttle Hold in time...I don't know why I would remember the bailout switch any better.

Yes, if i buy a demon, i will have to train myself to hit the bail out on time.

Normally, my TH is on left side and Idle up switch on right side.If i get a BD i will have the bailout as the bind switch on the left side on my DX18qq.

Decided, mcpx bl at this point and again when funds are handy BD3sx on gaui.
