First Lady Michelle Obama’s Princeton classmate is a top executive at the company that earned the contract to build the failed Obamacare website.

Toni Townes-Whitley, Princeton class of ’85, is senior vice president at CGI Federal, which earned the no-bid contract to build the $678 million Obamacare enrollment website at Healthcare.gov. CGI Federal is the U.S. arm of a Canadian company.

Townes-Whitley and her Princeton classmate Michelle Obama are both members of the Association of Black Princeton Alumni.

Toni Townes ’85 is a onetime policy analyst with the General Accounting Office and previously served in the Peace Corps in Gabon, West Africa. Her decision to return to work, as an African-American woman, after six years of raising kids was applauded by a Princeton alumni publication in 1998

George Schindler, the president for U.S. and Canada of the Canadian-based CGI Group, CGI Federal’s parent company, became an Obama 2012 campaign donor after his company gained the Obamacare website contract.

Its no longer a $678 million web site.

Its a billion dollar web site and growing.

"Free Sh#t" is never free.

Just imagine for a moment what this would be like if it was the republican party that had built that web site instead of the democrat party.

It would go something like this Dennis: put it out to competitive bid and give it to the most qualified firm, not the cheapest one (though we probably got to most incompetent firm with the highest $$). Give them firm deadlines with penalties for failing to meet them, check on progress on a daily basis and most importantly, have a really good idea about how you want it to function before you even begin. Problem is, the Reps would most likely bungle it just as bad.
I saw an Oriental gentleman today on the news and he RIPPED this whole program. Said it should've been 100x's easier than they made it. You should be able to browse and compare prices without having to give them one iota of information to get fairly firm pricing.
Myself...I'm firmly planning on paying the fine if that comes to be. I will not give them my personal data. Have you seen the list of people they ADMIT right on the site that they're going to distribute this info to??? WTF does healthcare have to do with sharing your data with DHS???
This has nothing to do with insurance. It's the biggest data gathering operation on citizens in the history of the world.
Hitler is looking up thinking "crap, I should've thought of that. Obama is brilliant!!!".

Actually, he is.

He said he was going to "Transform America"

He meant it and he is quite successful with that.

The thing is that America does not need to be "Transformed"

Washington DC does.

As long as the government is involved the result would be the same regardless of party affiliation. Republicans and Democrats have awarded tasty contracts to their buddies and mismanaged projects for a long time now. This is nothing new.

Frustrating, wasteful, foolish? He11 yes, but not new.
