So I got the newest pro 800 super combo kit. I do very light 3D and love just flying really big loops and stuff. This is my 1st large electric helicopter I'm coming over from nitro.

Question: Should I run 14 or 12S? Just looking for longer flight times not trying to build a power monster.

Thanks guys

if you can swing it go 14s you will love flight times, plus its a little easier on everything no pulling as many amps

12S unless you have a lot of extra money to throw at it. You'll have to replace the ESC and motor to go 14S.

12S with the 850MX motor should be plenty of power. My 800 Trekker with a 750MX runs strong.

With 12S 5300 flying pretty strong sport acrobatic flying I get 5 minute flights.

Is there a huge difference between the YGE 160 and the CC Edge 160HV?

about 200-250 dollars and yes.

I ran a castle for one flight. Its a pile of black toast in the garbage. Bought a yge its insane. You can run up to 14 s, its a bitch to get programmed, (get the card!!) but its great. The gov store feature is amazing too.

Instead of the governor working straight from a throttle percentage on the tx it runs a certain head speed from start to finish.

So when you start the flight with a batt full charge your head speed stays the same throughout the flight. It doesn't drop with voltage. Only way to go for competition.

What else, I mean I just sold one, if you can afford it theirs no comparison and its a beast if used with a v bar in an electric. They communicate.

YGE if money permits. Absolutely. You'll never need another one.

That being said the CC 160 is a product thousands useand are completely satisfied. I've seen them perform great, but its not a yge.

Yeah I have heard of the old CC Ice versions even the V2's going up in flames but I've heard nothing but good things about the new CC HV Edge product. I'll look into the YGE .

Thanks.

The Castle ESC's can only go to 12S. You have to buy a different ESC for 14S
