I placed a big order for parts over 3 weeks ago from Henseleit.

Is 3-4 wks normal lead time to receive?

I love the TDR, but this is ridiculous - they need to get a US distributor, what is the big deal??

Just have some online shop they trust stock 25 parts of everything.

I had small orders from Minicopter (Germany) arrive in 10days. They also have a great US dealer.

3 weeks is the average on shipments from Germany.

Almost ALL delays are caused by US customs, not the the sender.

Glad to hear, I need some parts and I have been lazy to order them, I better place the order if I want them before the end of the year.

The parts for my last order was delivered in about 11 days - was pleasantly surprised.

If you drill down in Jan's website, there is an option for faster delivery to New York, but it is a little expensive.

Three weeks is probably the average for delivery time.

On one of my orders, delivery time exceeded 3 weeks so I called and fussed at DHL and in about a day the package mysteriously appeared at my front door......

It appears that customs is the bottle neck as Jan mails the orders out within a day of when the order is placed - according to the tracking.

Note also that this is the Xmas season, so packages will probably take a little longer to be delivered.

The USA dealer is for minicopter, they are in South Crolina.. Peak Aircraft. Not having a USA distributer is why I did not buy a TDR.

Shipping usually has been 10-14 days for me, nothing serious. On average I have to wait about 5 more days than shipping from a US dealer.

Don't make the TDR your primary bird and you can maintain patience for getting parts much easier.

Worst part for me is the scenario of needing one $25 gear and having to pay $30 shipping so then I just end up ordering about $100 in parts on average to make shipping worth it..

Isn't that the truth...and that is 3 weeks (at least) after they say it shipped. They must have a steady stream of row boats on the way to the U.S.

When I ordered my TDR kit it took about two weeks. It was handed off to the USPS after it cleared customs. I don't know if they all get delivered that way, but that could be a delay also.
