I just bought my blade 130x. Is it typical of the fbl system that when u spool up it wants to tip to one side or the other before lift off? Thanks.

Most of them seem to do that, If you just spool it up and get it in the air quick you are better off. I know you want to lift off slow and smooth, but the risk is there to tip the heli over.
Just spool it up and take off.

Mine often tips a little one way or another, I give a little cyclic to straighten it up before liftoff - because I'm still a new guy, and I like it to be under control to start with.

I think you'll find the instructions say not to put any inputs in until lift off too avoid tip overs.

If I don't give inputs, I guarantee it will tip over.

The computer in the fbl controller remembers your input and thus desired attitude and will continue to adjust the swash until your desired attitude is reached. If control input is given before liftoff, the desired attitude will accumulate and the instant you lift off the heli will flip over. This is a result of your control input accumulating over time and then the heli suddenly being allowed to act on that input once it leaves the ground. It would probably be possible to modify the program in the fbl controller to not accumulate more than a limited amount of attitude change, but more than likely this would have a negative impact on flight performance.

Wrongler is correct, just get it in the air. Don't spool up and let it just get light on the skids, it will slide on you if you do. Once in the air and ou tof rotor wash (3 feet high) it will settle right down.

My 130X used to do this when I first got it. On takeoff it would veer to the right and my tail would drift. Despite what the manual says that everything should be 0 this is not the case.
On my DX6I I have 11 points left on my aileron subtrim. It takes off straight everytime. The 0 point in the subtrim on the radio is not always accurate 0 for the fbl controller. But the OP said it would tip one way or another upon liftoff. To me this would indicate too low head speed for the pitch being used possibly. What is your throttle curve and pitch in normal mode when you take off? Does your swash when the heli is on and not flying drift on it's own slowly?

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them
