I don't actually think Blade helis are that bad, they are what they are, if you want better, spend more money.

If you think this heli won't have its problems or that it will fly far better than a MCPX BL or 130X you are going to be disappointed.

60% of the time, it works every time!

The dream of something for in the house goes unfulfilled.

I have very expensive helis too but I'm tired of being a "I pay" beta tester for Horizon.

I have a 130 with mods, still a joke in a lot of ways.

The Blade 130x will not be threatened by this. A motor driven tail...Come on align. Didn't they learn their lesson from the Trex 100? Count me out.

Nothing special...

If I was align I wouldn't waste my time in this market because the Blade products are pretty darn solid and cheap.

If they were smart they would make a direct bind and fly series for futaba...

That's what I like about it!
I'm so tired of jacking with the gears on my 130 tail that I could scream...can't wait to replace that POS.

The Blade 130 is the biggest piece of garbage I ever owned..Out of the box the board was fried..Got it back and the tail always blew out..Servo burned up on the 2nd day..NO power what so ever and alot has to do with all the drag from the POS tail drive..
These are WELL known/common issues with them and anyone can find out by looking through the blade section..Even after dumping enough money in one to buy another brand new blade 130,it still flys like poop..
Seems Align is the smart ones being as they used a BRUSHLESS motor on the tail..I bet it flys better, its cheaper to repair due to not having a garbage tail like the 130 and has better power...

Well I guess to each their own on this one. My 130x has been a pleasure since day one. Other than minor repairs when needed (crashes due to pilot error), it has been flawless.

BladeStrikes and Hippie,
Feel free to buy the 150 align wants me to, I have been down the motor driven tail road many times... never again.

Cheers to all, and Happy flying!

I have the 130x and from day one I haven't had any problems. I tear the thing up too.
The 150 looks like it can be a nice little bird for those trying to upgrade from a smaller Fixed Pitch or Coaxial. Only problem that I have with motor driven tails is when you break the tail boom, it is either a hassle to get the motor off without damaging the wires or more expensive to replace it all.
I have messed with the MCPx and the Nano CPx and both still fly very well for what they are worth. Align makes great products for their price. Would I give this a try? Absolutely. Just how design engnr said, "To each their own."
