Has anyone ever heard of someone doing a competition around the micro helis? Mainly for the fun and hilarity of it. Maybe have limits on blade length and overall weight. 4.75 inches and under blade length and maybe under 2.5 ounces. While not F3C I think it could bring a lot of fun and entertainment. Give a week for submissions from a start date or something such as that. It would be based on trusting the submissions of course but it would all be just for the fun of it anyway.
This could get more people interested or even aware of the real F3C. People who can't even afford 500 sized helis could get into it. The maneuvers would need to be drastically reduced and more based on flying over points upright and inverted but I am sure some higher stuff could still be done too. The judging would need to be a little loose too
There could be recommendations for setting up cameras so that individuals could compete when the wind is calm.
I was hoping to get into F3C but I had to sell my trex 700 awhile ago.
Am I the only one that thinks it could be fun to see what can be done with the micro helis?
Maybe it would spur more development on the micro scale for more precise flying instead of designing only for hard 3D micros like the Blade MCP X BL which have a tendancy to have bad tail wag and high headspeeds. I love my Blade Nano CP X for precise movement practice.
Let the micro competitions begin!
