I just bought a Dx8 and loaded my 450 FBL with 3gx on it and it flew good but I took it home and re leveled the swash. I now get barely any negative pitch but positive is fine. The servos don't seem to travel to the low position enough but but raises fine when the throttle is pushed to full throttle. Maybe it was like this all along though and I missed it. Not sure. Any ideas? Is this the way the Dx8 is? Thanks

In the setup menu the Swash Plate type should be 3 Servos 120 degrees.
In the Function List the Swashplate numbers should be something like
Ail: +43
Ele: +43
Pit: +37
or something close to that. You can adjust these to give you more throw if you need it. I copied these numbers from my 550e and I am just not up on programming the 3GX which is where your problem may be. Have you searched for 3GX setup videos on YouTube. There are some good ones, especially by Burt Kamermer.

The DX8 is perfectly capable of this, it is just your setup is out of whack.

When checking the throws are you in DIR mode on the 3GX?

Thanks for the input. Yes I'm in dir mode when checking. I think I got it dialed in last night. I'll know today when I try it. Sometimes when I'm adjusting the Ail, Ele, and pit in the swash menu, the roller on the Dx8 turn and as well as corresponding the numbers but the actual blade pitch isn't moving. At least not always. I set all my curves to linear and that helped to get my pitches adjusted. I'm wondering if this radio has a glitch. Thanks
