My buddy wants me to get an airplane. I have owned one years ago before helis it lasted 20 min. I am a big fan of going fast. My 700's seem faster than most of the plane at my field. The only one that I have seen that looks faster is a jet which is to expensive or a pylon racer. I think I want a pylon racer. I have been looking at espirt and they have some really nice ones. I was one click away from this one.

with the hot set up. close to $1000. I like it because it is a little bigger than most pylon racers and it has flaps so I can slow down and learn how to land.

I then saw this an it might be a good leaning tool but maybe to slow and cheap.

I would like input. I have since flown a plane around the patch no landings, so a little nervous about landing but think I can handdle the speed since I am comfortable doing full collective passes with all of my helis.

I have a 3D heli, I don't understand why it doesn't do 3D.

unless you have great eyesight and a nice big big area to fly...its nots as fun as you think to have a pylon racer...but if you fly it as in a group like racing, thats another story.

I got a chance to try the Rifle...the guy had it set up with a 4S...the darn thing would top out at nearly 130mph...needless to say it would quickly fade from eyesight...was it fun, oh hell yes, but it got monotonous after the first two batts...the landings were hot too, the stall speed was a little too fast and without a foldingprop if you were not carefull the prop tip would catch on the ground and flip her over risking damage to the tail or the prop shaft/motor.

you really have to try it for yourself to decide what you want...for me, it was just speed...and that got old quick if your not flying others doing the same thing.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Fast is FUN!!!!
....for about 5 minutes. Then like has been said, it gets a little monotonous. Plus, if you still have to learn how to land yet, a pylon racer might not be for you. Just like helis, you need to learn how to walk before you can run. I'm not advocating giving up on a racer, just that it might be wise to add a trainer in there somewhere to get the basics down. Have fun!

There, their and they're. It's really that simple.

Look at soaring usa. I run a Jibe 2 F5d racer on a nue motor. 180mph + does circles around the jets for about $1200 all in. Careful though they can get away from you quick and a 180 mph plane will make your 700 feel like it was a slug.

Oh boy!
These planes do not hover to land. They come in hot and fast. For you, flaps will just add to the problems.

Blades; what goes around, comes around!
