Reason
I chose and will stay with MA. I wanted a heli made in north America, The US offers nothing else for 90 nitro, I don't consider the avant a real company. Many reasons.

I also like synergy but it seems very low budget and haven't offered a new machine in how long?

So I went MA.

You lost me with that leap from JR Vibe to "another US made heli" there devin120. Last I knew, JR Vibe came from Japan.

You are correct they are made in Japan. I must have thrown that in their accidently. Good eye.

Van Heli can I help clarify something. You seem stunned?

Got 2 helis. rap 30/50 and just aquired a kyosho SR. seen an ad on graigs this guy was practically giving away the rap 30 all it needed was a boom and couple small items, everything else was present so had to have it, thats what got me started again. Then recently after having a kyosho SRX and DX back in the late 90s picked up a SR in a "not so good of deal" but again had to have it. Also just picked up a pegasus from one of the guys on here, havent messed with it yet but from what Im hearing should be a blast, cant wait

CAUTION!!! politicians may be hazerdous to your well being

I had a Rappy 30 which I learned on and a Rappy 50 with a Hyper OS 50. I HATED the goop and later the cost of 30% fuel. I saw Raja flying a Gasser many years ago with his collective management and total control and LONG FLIGHT TIMES,,,+ NO GOOP on the airframe and I was hooked. My first gasser is a very old 1995 Miniature Aircraft Gasser which they still make parts for and support!! She still flies very well for me with her mechanical mix and all. My newer model is a Min Air Spectra ,,flybar which is CCPM I will soon convert to FBL. For me the gasser heli's are perfect for me with the large size . And the long run times and pennies per hour to fly are a great bonus. Ultimate power would be a waste on me and may I say on the majority of sport flyiers. My thoughts only.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

I have owned a lot of different Helis. I settled one Mikados because they seems to fly forever without maintenance needs and always, always fly well. Parts, I keep a stock and I know they will always be right around the corner if they are out. Pretty happy with my fleet and I am always interested to see what the new year unfolds!

With the cost of getting an airframe in the air, most people prefer to see what everyone else is doing and then do the same to avoid pitfalls. If a particular setup is flying well for someone at the field, it makes sense to go after the same thing.

It's become 100% about local support for me. My LHS stocks Gaui, Tarot, and Blade. They help me with setup questions, fly the same ships themselves, and know them inside and out. The local availability of parts also means I dont have to tie up hundreds of dollars in spares. I can crash in the morning, stop by the shop on the way home, and repair that same day.

Every now and again I see a big Logo or Goblin in the air and start to think about how much fun it might be to own one, but at the end of the day knowing that I would have to wait for parts and also would lose the level of available expertise I currently enjoy at my LHS, I lose the temptation.

I have to wonder, though - if my local guy dropped Gaui, would I give up on them? Hmm..

I was going to take up Origami, but someone said the local club folded.
