Is spending $ 2000 on the X7 as opposed to about $1200 - $1300 on the Trex 700 worth it when it comes to the quality of the 2 products by comparison.
In reality I will replace the Align motor and 3GX, so I estimate the price difference to really only be about $200 - $300 difference, for what I'm told is a more solid, lower maintenance and better quality Heli in the X7.
How much are parts replacements costs on the X7 compared to the Trex though?
Any feedback from experienced people appreciated as this will be my first proper Heli.
Basically I'm prepared to pay the extra buck, if the quality is worth it in the long run.
I can get full support for both Helis on parts, repairs and setup.
Thanks

X7-700E Pro
Both are good helicopters, would not replace the Align motor, this past weekend Jamie Robinson flew a box stock(except for the FLB system)a 700E Pro and a 800 both with the motors that came in the kit and he could not bog the motors, had a ton of power, the X7 parts cost more and all most everybody stocks Align parts, I like the X7 because the way the batterys go in, side by side, you will like either one you pick, there both good helicopters, just my 2 cents worth. I only have experience with a Gaui NX4 and the quality is very good but there again I would describe Aligns latest kits quality as very good!

I guess the only down side with the 700E Pro DFC is the fixed gearing making it harder to run low head speeds.

60% of the time, it works every time!

Hi gents. Thanks for the responses.
What about replacement parts? Are Gaui really that much more than Aligns?
Anyway, I think I can't go wrong either way.

I prefer X7 because it require less maintenance and the head as proper geometry. (non DFC)

The frame is internally braced too. It's stiffer, no gear upgrades needed.

I have a Trex 700 V2 and replacement parts aren't that bad, a pack of aluminium booms are $15 for two. As far as the gearing, buy the KDE universal motor mount and problem solved.
