Ok, to start off, I am about 5-8 years behind. I have 2 raptor 50v2's that I would like to convert to electric. Let me also say, that I would like to convert the raptor to electric, but keep the existing clutch. I do not want to do a direct drive conversion.

I looked online and saw that about 5-6 years ago there where several companies that sold a kit that would use the existing mounting holes to mount the electric motor. I also see that there are ways to just drill the frame and use a trex 600 mount to fit inside the frame. I would prefer not drilling the frame. I would like a straight up bolt and go conversion mount that uses the existing frame holes.

Does anyone have one of these? Does anyone still make these?

Let me know what you have or who you recommend. Thanks!

I did one about 6-7 years ago or so. But mine was a direct drive. And unfortunately, the guy who made the motor mount stopped doing it some time ago.

I don't know of any drop in a go fly electric conversions, I checked around but didn't really come up with anything other than these two ideas. The aluminum mount came from another guy on here who either had it made or he might of made it himself, can't rememember what he told me. It works great but takes some time to get it aligned properly, you have to drill four small holes in the upper frame though, and shave a little plastic off around the fan shroud area in the inside which won't hurt it any even on nitro. The other idea was mine using a Century electric mount with a Hyperion 630kv mounted on a 5mm prop adapter and using the stock Rappy clutch and fan mount, you can leave the fan on if you like so you don't ruin that part just in case you go back to nitro. The bad news is, if you use the Century mount you have to shave down the inside of the frames about 2mm off each side right where the nitro motor mount goes. I'm not sure if I want to sell the aluminum mount yet, still working on the Century mount, trying to get it properly aligned and if I get it right then I'm staying with it and running it on 6S and Hyperion 630kv, the aluminum mount is drilled for a Neu 1.5 532kv motor which has 25mm spacing, I sold the motor already....

I will pm you my number if you have questions?

Gentlemen,

Thank you for the responses. Looks like some frame modding will have to happen. I was hoping to avoid that.
