I noticed that also...must be short tail blades or tall main shaft.

The idea is get even just 20 percent of that flight time (=.5hr) with 1/4th the battery used or half the battery and double the head speed, and so on, and so on what will you have? Longer flight times within reasonable time frames.

It is a Logo 600 with 800 blades and they would be over the tail by some, how much is too much overlapping of the tail? I really need to know.

Mikado to the rescue I think they have the lightest heli on the market if am lying. I hope to
See a weight comparison between their 600 and the goblin.
The lighter bird will fly the longest, proto 700/800

Hmm, ide be very interested to hear the 3D-able flight time with 710's, double the HS (im guessing they were at around 700 rpm?) so 1400 rpm and keep the same battery? Its gotta be close to an hour of light 3D surely?

Wow, ive just worked out that thing was averaging 12.7 amps! They could have used a CC ICE LITE 50 and saved 30g! Maybe a Pyro 600 instead of a 650 and save 70g, thats 100g, that would add about 18 seconds onto the time!

consider the Li ion batteries are half the bulk for the same mah as a lipo.

Weigh savings translate to more than just flight time gains. How about crash-ability, better response, snappier 3d and direction changes, and possible payload increases. I've already put to practice weight reduction techniques with satisfactory results.

The future of long flight times equates to long distance drone/apv/fpv flight.

Other thing, what is reduced in core machine weight can allow increased weight in other aspects of a rc heli, and this entire idea can be grafted into full size. The human body is such a drag and ohh so heavy.

Yes, they have much more energy density. They don't have the high current/power punch (discharge rating) of a LiPo.

Ideal for endurance application.
