Hello guys,

finally got to do some work on my 407 after being away far 1 month!! Really happy to see some progress.

I have a question for you guys. What hardware do you use for the door hinges? Either for mouinting on the door and frame adn the one where it pivots.

Here is some pictures of the work I've done over the last 2 days.

If you guys have any advice or any thoughts about my work dont exited. It is my first built and I'd be happy to get advice from you guys.

Now heading on a trip with my girlfriend. So hopefully I get to do some more before ùi go back to work!

Cheers
Billy

Hi Billy,
You're off to a great start!

Go to the beginning of this thread and look at the galleries of those guys who have built 407s for details.

My process is to look at the full size pics and do my best to replicate the details.

RCA has a nice scale set which includes a searchlight and other pieces which are pretty nice.
LHC out of England also sells a scale details set pretty cheap which brings a nice gas cap, antennae and other bits also.

Enjoy your build and post pics. Us scale guys love pics

I will order a set for you and send it to you once I receive it free of charge. I need to order 1-2 more for my other projects also.

I will let you know when it gets here then you can PM me your addy.

A lot of the scale pieces you can make yourself also. If you can't figure one out just ask and there are some awesome builders on here that would be happy to give you tips and hints.

Take care!

Hey guys,

I just got myself a syringe and white wood glue for some riveting work. I have 2 questions about that.

First, is it ok to lay them down right on rhe fuselage. I have the white version.

My secons question is, once I'm done and ready to prime the fuselage, I was wondering if there would be issues where the primer wouldn't stick properly to the white glue or it sticks well?

Thanks guys
Billy

hey guys,

here some progress I did today on the model.

Worked on the little quarter turn screws holdong the cowlings on the doghouse and on the engine cowling aswell.

Here's the little scoop on top of the engine cowling which I'm not sure what it is for hehe:

And than here's something I'm pretty happy of the final result; I scratch built the footstep to climb on the roof.

cheers guys.

Hey billy it maybe a good idea to dry fit it just to make sure any mods u have to do can be done before u paint it, this way if u have to sand any part of fuse u can do it now before any paint or scaling is complete..just a thought... Rich
