Hey rich NO mine was just like emiles the blue ish purple and gold V1. After I sanded it down to get it ready for primer and then cut out the pilots doors so they could open to show the cockpits details. Mine has pilots doors and cargo hatch the opens. And Im trying to
Get my hands on another V1 407 to build another one with the denver air care. Cause I kept hearing from ppl that the V2 wasnt up to par unless u put some time into it to nring it up to par. For that I rather just do a V1 and I have loads of experience with it building a second one wpuld be easy

That is awesome news!!
im glad to hear they stepped up to the plate also on the fuse.
Great customer service will pay off in the long run for them.

Hi Edward!! Yes long time. I'm in Illinois right now for two weeks with a weekend break between. Rewired my shop past weekend and now I can see with these old eyes LOL

Got a little bit of work done but not like I expected to do.
Either way progress is coming along. I am cleaning up some details and adding a few others.
I'm still thinking about cutting open the pilot doors. I have carbon fiber cloth so will reinforce the fuse a bit first.

Thanks for the offer on painting. I may take you up on that 😄😄

A hello to Rich and the rest of the guys out there.
Will post some pics after I get home from this trip.

Hey Rich im still on the fence on either doing a corporate 407GX style like scott showed a pic of or the denver air care. On this second 407.what do u think? Bit the GX woyld have to be a different color tho. Im thinking a cobolt blue and silver with a white wave. And since the pilots door are full glass and the rear doors also full glass I think that woyld be hot.and also maybe build it with this scale head

Thought you may want to see the 407 fuse I received from Marvel Craft. Hopefully the replacement will be better.

Hey guys I posted the pics just to show the fuse and not to directly poke a dig at Marvel Craft. Things like this happen in shipping and I'm well aware of that, this was neither Marvel Craft or Ron's fault. I'm sure Ron and Marvel Craft will make this right, Ron responded back in very short time and took care of the situation, I'm very pleased with the way he handled it.

Thats cool DJ so when do u have to send the damaged one back to Ron?

Also Rich NO its not a PnP but I talked to someone who has one and said, setting up phasing wasnt hard on that head. But did tell me make sure to take it completely apart and build it back qith lock tight cause the head will work its self apart because they dont use locktight.

Not sure, he hasn't asked for it back. I'll send it back if he requests it I suppose.
Also for those who have built the kit, what did you use to assemble the wooden frame work, epoxy or CA glue?
Thanks DJ

Pre-assemble the wood framework and just tack it together with a tiny bit of CA to temporarily hold it together. Fit it in the fuse and check for any areas that need to be modified for proper fitment. Then bolt the mechs to the woodwork with the main shaft installed. Fit the entire mess into the fuse and check everything from the centering of the main shaft, correct main shaft angle, where the tail output exits in relationship to the fuse tail boom etc.. Make any mods to the woodwork at this point in the build, then assemble it permanently and bond it into the airframe with Aeropoxy or Hysol. Don't use standard hobby epoxy, as it's not flexible enough. Make sure you sand/prep/clean the inside of the fuse where it will mount.
