For those of you using the 600esp mechanics what gear are you using (slant or straight)? Tooth count on the main and pinion? And what main shaft are you using (DFC of FBL)?
Thanks Dj

Yeah Scott u and Roy are the only two we havnt seen much of ur 407
Roy's job keeps him so busy and away from home its tough to get any hobby stuff done. I try to make it up there to his place as often as I can to help him get things going. no worries though, it will be progressing soon enough.

I've got a few questions, In the planning stages for my 407. Buying parts daily and I'm researching heads and swash plates. I'm going to use the RCA plug and play head, what swash plates are you using with this set up? I'm going with Ed's advise and using 112T slant main gear with a 13 t pinion, will the stock 600esp auto gear work?
Ron contacted me and my fuse is on the way, cant wait! Got a set of skids coming from Mike but those are 3 months out, plenty to do in the meantime.
Guys thanks for all the help on my project.

Hey DJ looks like ur getting everything together. What motor and ESC u planning to use? With the setup Rich and I are using im running my heli at 100% throttle rite at takeoff and my flight times are 7- 7:30 minutes and it so affection that my batteries dont even get warm and there inside the fuse. Plus ur blades will factor the load on ur system.

Also I forgot to ask what ur going to do about the mechanic mounting. the wood work that comes with the fuse is design for a Trex 700 and u will find that the 600 will sit about 2inches lower and the mechanic is going to have the head sitting to low that will take away from not only the scale look but the way the mechanic performance of the setup. I endde up doing was making my own mechanics mount that sit the 600 2 1/2 inches above the floor of the fuse so it has a nice scale look and line up the tail boom down the fuse tail boom.

Looks like Bell is going to put the "backwards" 429 skids on the new 407 GXP. Not sure I'm a fan.
