Ok, I am having an issue and need help. I have been out of the "game" for a year and building a new heli to get back in. But setting up a throttle servo is giving me trouble LOL!!! TX is a 14SG. I am setting up my throttle servo on the bench and having the following issue:

ATV's are set at 135 and end points are set at 100 for the throttle channel and throttle trim is centered. With those settings, I adjust my servo arm length and throttle arm length and I can get full travel of throttle fully closed and throttle fully open. Now, if I adjust the throttle trim on the TX to a position I believe will provide a good idle (approximately -25 on the trim), when I go to full throttle, the servo is over driven (the servo wants to travel farther than the throttle will allow - it binds). Basically adding trim extends the end point.

How do I account for that? I am sure the answer is super simple and amazingly easy, but the solution evades me LOL!

How can I setup full throttle travel (fully closed to fully open) and still be able to adjust the trim for idle once I get the field and am able to start the engine and adjust the idle without it effecting the full throttle end point and over-driving the servo?

FYI, I also setup throttle cut on switch SH if that matters.

Thanks in advance!

Steve

Easy.

All you have wrong is the throttle channel trim needs to be set ATL. P. 77 in your manual.

ATL deactivates the trim above 1/2 stick so you will not overdrive the servo at full throttle with whatever trim you want for idle

I knew it was easy!! Quite embarrassing really, I looked through the manual twice last night thinking I was missing something and glossed right over that; TWICE! LOL!

Thank you Dr. Ben!! You are extremely helpful as always!
