Well sooner or later someone has to crack the mini barrier and get one of these fun helis to work the way that they were intended. At least some of these companies are giving it a try.

The Blade was not only a money pit, but another instance where a supposedly RTF microhelicopter ends up requiring extensive modification and aftermarket upgrades in order to fly correctly. How did the last micro Trex turn out, by the way? I never bought one so I did not follow the progression. It was a fixed pitch model, right? Was it good? Acceptable? Terrible? Was it brushless? Did it need modifications? Was the tail motor large enough to prevent blowouts?

yeah it does.. but I want to see how solid it is with us non pros...

still I would rather have a tail motor than to deal with a TT or belt as long as it holds great

You don't need TT. That is extra cost in repairs. What i like to see is beefier frams, landing gears and etc then TT. Trex 100 had the worst landing gears every. Also give Align some time they will make a TT version.

I feel quite the opposite. A TT would allow a matchable tail speed consistent with the HS. A tail motor runs independent; and over time, will become sluggish.

This unit should be released anytime now.

yeah thats true.. if they made a TT that isn't a pita then i would like that.. just don't see one being made that isn't

I think it would be easier to buy a cheap tail motor every once in a while than having to replace dumb tiny tt gears..

that being said I will wait a little while before I decide to buy it. but I need something this size so its either this or the 130x
