I have a three speed electric motor which has some very fine wiring in the winding of the motor and one of the wires has broke at the connection block.

Can I repair this break by splicing with similar wire but first where can I fine such fine wire for motor windings?

If I make the splice what do I need to re-coat the wire with?

Clear brush on lacquer or varnish. Spray on types probably won't go on thick enough.
If it is a short section, finger nail polish, any color.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

How much wire and what is the gauge or thickness. I might have what you need, no charge.

That's the next question I have
How do I tell the gauge? I only need about foot to splice
Can I use a digital caliper to gauge it?

Let us know if you get jammed up on technique / far as making the splice. Probably one of the most important is "clean" the tail of the repair and use a Hemostat so the heat does not creep into or past the repair or farther down the lacquer of the sound wire. Clip the tail's flush - Toe Nail Clipper's on the small stuff.

Now that is one heck of a rotor greyeagle.
Yep, cleaning the splice area is important. Some small wires will effectively self clean when sufficient heat and flux is applied, but the best way is to clean wire splice areas until only copper shows.
Also depending on clearance there are two basic types of splices, western union splice and simple pigtail splice. If it needs to lie nice and flat then the western union splice, otherwise the easiest and simplest is a pigtail splice.
If you need help after I send you the wire, Greyeagle or I will help you

Just to show how efficent the USPS is that is so called going broke ---
I sent him some wire with accurate scaled postage : Same Day

It went all the way down and then back because it was .23 cent's short on postage -- I can't believe it !!!

I will ADD MORE POSTAGE and send it again !!!

Some USPS system In the United States : Sorry

It has traveled down and back at the twice the cost / twice the effort / twice the distance / : just to send it back for more postage of .23

Hows that for efficiency !!!

Going to send it again : Welcome to AMERICA
