In today's edition of polls the media will collectively ignore, a new AP-GFK polls finds that Barack Obama's job approval rating has plummeted to 37%.

While the poll shows that 62% blame the GOP for the shutdown and "[a]bout half said Obama or the Democrats in Congress bear much responsibility,"

While the GOP are receiving most of the blame, other polls show the spread between Republicans and Democrats is in single digits.

Republicans shouldn’t dismiss the number in this poll. It could be an outlier, or a trend. The media have been shamelessly lying and carrying Obama's water in this debate, and it is possible that the media's propaganda is having an effect.

Obama continues to sink. People (except the dumbest of the dumb) are beginning to realize Obama is bad.

Why not show the approval rating for the republicans? Or are you afraid to post smaller numbers then those for Obama. The republicans rating are so low, that they are already talking about how they will lose the house.

The Republicans are not the President of the United States...Obama is the president.

Why not show the local school lunch menu?...the local school lunch menu is not the President of the United States...Obama is the president.

Why not show the average shoe size?...the average shoe size is not the President of the United States...Obama is the president.

Nope the point is Obama is incapable of bringing people together. Obama can only harm and destroy. He CAN NOT help a nation.

That is ridiculous and irrelevant. Political figures are relevant when it is seen (by the public) that they are all to blame on different levels.

Yes, Obama is the President but there are many elected officials who have taken part in what is currently happening.

Public perception (although flawed often) is relevant. It affects elections.
