Mostro. The design looks really familiar but I can't quite put my finger on it? I am sure I was the last to see this. Although it looks very similar to other designs it still looks pretty cool, what is the general consensus?

I have a 3D heli, I don't understand why it doesn't do 3D

It has a similar drive train as the Goblin.
Everything else is different.

This is a bit of an old topic.lol...

The biggest difference that I like is the $30 tail boom vs the $124 Gobby boom

But yes,the drive train is very similar.
Just like EVERY heli on the market had a pinion gear on a main gear a year ago.

And the Goblin wasn't exactly first with their drive either.

I like the looks of everything! Looks like a blend of all the good heli's out there. I will wait until they have been proven by the general public before I decide!

I'll wait as well...especially since there has already been one delay in the release date

We will see if it follows the path of the Aurora...I guess we will see what happens.
If the parts prices are in line with the Goblin and Logo, it will be at least affordable to own. Logo boom $30, Goblin boom $70, Mostro (I don't know yet), Logo main shaft $20, Goblin main shaft $25 and so on.
Yes it looks a LOT like a few helis out there but when it comes down to it, it depends on availability, performance, and affordability. Avant has had issues with the first of those three for a while

The drive train and the servo layout are a copy of the goblin for sure. Do I care? No. I have been thinking about getting one but the availability does concern me. Although, I have a logo and have had parts availability issues with it as well.

Oh, and where does a goblin boom cost 124 dollars? I think that is a slight exaggeration.

I think the polymer arms make sense. The first Goblin I built had screws coming loose the first 5 flights due to there being no where for the vibrations to go. I would also like to see a real picture of it. Is there only one place to get parts for these?

Seriously?

There is a 20 page debate on the other big forum about which servo layout is best between the Goblin and Mostro.

How are they the same if one is so different than the other?

The layout of the Mostro enables the sleek narrow canopy.
The Goblin servo layout requires the turkey leg canopy.

They are both 120° swashes but that is the only thing the same.
And the VAST majority of ALL helis are 120° swash set ups.

And does the Goblin have servo pinion shaft support bearings?
The Mostro does.

Last time I checked(which was months ago)the Goblin boom was over $120.

I see today it is $70.

$70 is still nuts though but with the crazy shape and cutouts and paint job make it that way.

Pay to play.lol....

By the way...I think $30 for an Avant boom is stupid too.
It's a CF tube.

Right now Carbon Xtreme and A Main Hobbies are the only places to buy Avant but with the release of the Mostro, there are several vendors in line to sell them.

Yeah, that is a little over quoted as it has been $70 from day one....maybe a custom boom from Canomod shipped from the factory

It may well have been a custom paint scheme I saw back then.

Yes. Seriously.

If it turns out this heli is actually real, I will probably get one to try it.

In what way does the Mostro copy the Goblin servo layout?

Three servos?

It's a serious question.

The servos are located different.
They have different geometry.
The Mostro has servo pinion supports.

From what I see, they aren't even similar except that they both have three servos.

Just look at the pictures of both. I am aware of the differences. To say it is not a goblin copy to some extent is just being a brand fan boy. They may have refined the design with some nice features but still based the design off the goblin. I am not saying it is a bad thing. I like the design. I own a goblin and will probably own a mostro. Unless they drag out the release much more. I am ready to buy now.
