Bought this new in the spring thinking I would enjoy flying a gasser instead of my regular electrics. I was wrong. This ends up sitting most of the time, so I am selling it.

I purchased the airframe, engine, pipe, and all assorted gas things new just for this. The electronics (if you want them) came out of my E720.

I built it carefully over a couple weeks and broke the engine in using 87 octane with Hanson's recommended oil. Keeping it rich for the second gallon I switched to Coleman and the same oil, and I've run about 4 tanks out of a third gallon with the same oil. I still have it quite rich, I had planned to really tune it in after I finished this third gallon and switched oils. Total of 2.5 or so gallons through the engine, so it has been run a few hours. It starts 1st or second pull and runs fantastically. Very strong and smooth. Includes Century V2 pipe and MA air filter.

It is in excellent shape, I am an experienced heli pilot and builder. On the 6th or so flight I lost a ball on the swash (came unscrewed, must have missed the locktite on it) and autoed down. The auto was successful, bringing it down on the skids, however the blade without the link hit the boom. Total damage was the one blade, boom, torque tube, and 1 of the carbon tail boom support rods. As a precaution I switched out all the shafts when I fixed it, however none of them were bent, so I have an extra of the tail, main, and feathing shafts that will go with it. I have flown it dozens of times since then, it runs very smooth with no strange vibes or issues.

The engine currently has a Helibug Powerbug generator installed in it. This is the generator that installs in the bottom of the engine with a pickup on the fan and puts out in the range of 1.5-2 amps (claimed) at flight RPMs. I've had it on there for 4 flights trying different regulators and batteries to see if it was just that limited in output, and yes, it is. I've got a CC BEC that I put on it last time I flew just to try out installed, but I'll be pulling that off and including the stock Powerbug regulator. Honestly, this generator is fairly useless, it doesn't do anything at idle, and flying around it adds a bit of power redundancy, but the battery never really recharges with it. It does give you more flights before you have to recharge the flight pack, but it's not a huge difference and I'm not sold on whether it's worth the extra weight.

Want a good generator? It comes with one of those as well. When I initially built the heli I bought a new Jewel Generator from Raja. This one is the real deal, and will keep your battery completely charged and power the electronics. Like all of Raja's generators, this installs at the top of the start shaft and has an AXI motor that powers the electronics. The coupler has been ground down to work on the model, as MA has changed to a shorter start shaft vs the one Raja initially designed it for. This generator puts out enough power that you can completely turn off teh battery and fly the heli, it even puts out enough current to power it all at idle.

Electronics

I don't have any huge desire to get rid of the electronics, but if you want a heli ready to go, I'll include them. They are absolutely top of the line Futaba throughout.

Cyclics are Futaba BLS-272HV brushless heli servos with Futaba BLS-256 Brushless on tail. The throttle is a Futaba 9151 Digital.

Currently installed is a Futaba CGY 750 with the V1.31 software. Flies great. Very locked in and stable while being quick on cyclics. The governor is driven with a Stator Gator.

Battery wise it has a 3 flight old Turnigy 3600mah LIFE pack. The Perfect Regulators soft switch in the pictures will not be included.

There will be no receiver included.

Blades and Misc stuff

There won't be any blades included. I decided to sell this after I stole the blades from it for my 700e a week ago and realized that I didn't feel like buying new ones for it.

As for other stuff with it, I've got some misc spares, links and things. It also has the upgraded Tuff Strut landing gear that MA offers, which is a great upgrade. The clutch bolts were upgraded to proper sized ones so they don't need to be sleeved like the stock setup, and the fuel tank is plumbed with the Zenoah clunk and line that Hanson includes with his engines.

Canopy
I never used the stock canopy, because I don't like the colors, I have a hard time seeing them in the air. It is new and undrilled and will be included. It has a bit of a warp to it from how it was in the box, but it fits well and is new. The canopy mounts pictured are not included, and wouldn't work with the stock canopy. I flew this with a Rave ENV canopy that I can see, and will be keeping those mounts with that canopy. The stock mounts will be installed and included with the heli.

This heli is built right with no expense spared.

List of included Equipment

Airframe and Engine

Whiplash Gasser Flybarless Airframe
Hanson 270RC 3d Max
Century Torpedo V2 Slim Muffler
MA Whiplash CF air filter
Upgraded Clutch bolts

Not that you care, but adding it all up I've got $2980 in this heli. If you want it all, just add your blades, receiver, gas and fly, I'll sell it all for $1950 shipped in the US. If you want it minus the stuff in the Servos and Electronics section I'll do $1450 shipped.
