Hey guys.

Like to know what Mode in the Jive 80HV you guys are running the Scorpion Hk4025-1100kv motor in. It' the older model, not the current HkIII 4025-1100kv. I like to run in Mode 4.

Thanks for the input

Mode 4 is what I ran with that motor and a Jive. Works perfectly

Between Mode 4 and 11 .... Which one will give more power? And I always wonder .... What is the difference the two Modes?

Mode 4 is standard governor mode with soft start. It will do everything the Jive is legendary for but when you have a weak pack, performance will suffer. When you have batteries of different C ratings or levels of freshness, mode 11 will basically "set" the head speed from one pack and keep that same HS for all subsequent packs no matter what the pack performance is. If you set you more 11 with a fresh pack, the older packs will be driven harder to keep up. If you set the mode 11 with an older pack, you won't get all the performance out of a new pack.
Different schools of thought, both work great. Great to have choices...

Ok ... Mode 11 is pretty much like YGE's Gov Store. With that being said...... I'll just charge my fresh packs to 4.0v and run Mode 11 (I assume the Jive will learn the HS for 4.0v for the first time you sartup in Mode 11).
Nicely explain Ron!

helifanatix: No sir, this does not work. The set up procedure is more straightforward for Jive. Just charge the pack and set your heli up with blades on. Use -2° pitch to get the min max travel in your Tx.

I did try to set it up the same way like Gov store in YGE. But jive without the blades on spins out the motor in to incredible rpm level. I got at 25% throttle the head speed exceeding 2200rpm.

I do use Gov store on YGE and Mod 11 on Jive

Oops, no wonder bladeless it feels like it is going to launch into orbit. Is there a risk of damaging the drivetrain?

Lada1 - Thanks for the correction.
I'm a little confuse on the setup procedure ... could you walk me through it?
