Just wondering if anyone had any news or announcements from the Tokyo Hobby show held on 16th and 17th of this month.

I was hoping for a bit of news from Hirobo or JR.

Electric Freya/SDX(not conversion)?

GT15HZ powered JR Heli?

Japanese manufacturers seem a little quiet. Particularly Hirobo.

The introduction of new products has slowed to a trickle - world economy, tsunami, meltdown, clones.

Well, JR have their X-bus. I would hope they will show off stuff that can work off it.

I know there are lots of other brands available these days but I still love the Japanese brands.

How about a Turbulence E600?

Hirobo seem to have almost given up.

Remember that the fall show is not the big one. The one in May is the big one, along with N'burg in Germany of course.

I am always about 3 years behind in what I can afford, so it is old news by the time I buy something. I costs a lot to stay up with the bleeding edge.

I might be wrong but I don't think Hirobo making helicopter anymore. Bobby

Hirobo are still making helicopters. They are just a little slow (conservative) in releasing new models. I also believe they are developing a full size electric helicopter.

I am seriously considering a Hirobo Freya GT15. And yes Heli_Splatter I fully understand what you are saying as you can see it sometimes takes me a while to acquire a machine. How old is the Freya 13+ years? Mind you I did just buy a JR Forza 450
