The input voltage to the charger dose not effect out put voltage of the charger. The charger controls the out put voltage to the battery.
People use higher voltages from power supplies to make up amps that a 15 amp outlet can not put out. Example: if you need 20 amps and only have 13 or 14 max. Most chargers today can turn higher voltage like 24 volts and make the difference up.
thanks you're sounding good

The fire extinguisher should be further away from the charger than shown in the picture. You want to be able to grab it and approach the flames armed and ready. The flames and gasses could keep you from reaching the extinguisher safely.

I speak from experience!!

Flames, smoke, and exploding batteries spread very quickly and cause instant damage.

I didn't think of that either until I had to enter a room full of smoke, run past the fire to locate the extinguisher, then return to the flames armed for battle. Had I arrived 20 seconds later I would not have been able to enter the room. I watched the fire spread by a magnitude of 20x in less than 3 seconds. No kidding!!

FYI, I left the charger unattended for 90 seconds to retrieve a FBL instructions manual in the next room.

These errors could have cost me my home and/or my family.

I had a house fire and I'm especially careful and this was with a 12 volt gel cell and a wall wart charger. Tyler is correct about the fire extinguisher.

Tyler, TMoore,

Thanks for posting. I did not realize that a 12 V gel cell charger could be as bad. But I guess an electrical short is bad no matter what precipitated it.

As for myself, I keep a fire blanket nearby, as well as an extinguisher at each doorway, so I can grab whichever one is handy. Luckily, never had to use one yet.

You probably mean 2C NOT 2 amps!

2C = 2x capacity (C) so if you are charging 2 2250mah packs at 2C then that is a 9A charge rate so yes they will charge in 20 mins at that current.

This is VERY basic stuff.

Ok just watched the video and you are charging at 8 amps so you are nearly at 2C.

Those TP packs can be charged at 12C maximum so 2250mah or 2.25A x 12 = 27A however your charger can't charge at 27A, I think its 20A max so you could max your charger out when charging 2 of those packs and it would only be a 4.44C charge or 8.88C charge if you were to charge 1 pack at 20A.
