Watch anybody fly their heli and you'll see that person go through a series or stance set up moves. In golf they call it a waggle. perhaps adjust your feet, fix your hat, wipe your hands, move the rudder one last time...then fly.
Funny to see even well know pilots do this.
What is yours?

Adjust hat, eyeglasses, wipe hands on pants, check tail servo (heading hold to rate mode and back), check swash for proper movement, move back, spin it up, hover, check controls again, climb to the right.

Look left & right to make sure no one is in harms way before I spin up.
Spin up fast, break ground and fly forward about 20'.
Piro and go.

Hummm, pre flight movements...
Adjust balls,
go fly!

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!

Start heli, carry to station, hook neck strap to radio, wipe hands on my pants, start to throttle up, unhook radio and go get starter and glow driver cause heli just quit! Deal with remarks from buddies at the field with you as usual...

I would say swat the bugs away but they don't bother me till after I take off.

I look for a clear field, adjust nads, and take off.

I'll have to ask the guys at the field if I do anything funny.

Otherwise, I just check controls, take a deep breath, and fly.

As soon as it's in the air is when the bugs attack me also

Adjust hat, check cyclic and tail flip throttle hold off, go to idle up 2 and launch like a rocket.

The rest of the flight I am doing the two step up and down the field.

Wipe sweat, adjust hat, wipe hands, adjust nuts if necessary then spool up.

Damn that ground is hard! When's the right time to get out of this money sucking hobby?

Be sure to use plenty of loctite to avoid having to adjust nuts pre-flight
