...turn the switch off. The only thing you can't do with what you have now is set the failsafe if the receiver loses signal.

You can artificially set failsafe on a switch (I used the throttle hold switch) but you can't turn off your transmitter or correctly have it go into failsafe if you lose signal - that's when you need the Preset Failsafe receiver.

Keep it within a safe distance and you will be fine for now. NO long distance FPV or the like so you don't accidentally lose signal.

Until I sent my receiver in, I was flying in this configuration.

test flight
well i could not wait any longer i did test flight without tx off failsafe to see if everything else worked atti, gps,m,
and it worked perfect i did not try switch failsafe yet but i will when i take it to a open field.i sure do feel better and the hard work is paying off.after a week of aching back and being dumbfounded it sure pays off.after all this and actually flying it its starting to make sense and does not seem that hard after all

thanks again rodney

ps have not touched a heli since i have been messing with this lol

Congrats Rodney - just remember to send in that receiver in the near future for update. You don't want your investment to crash into the ground if you can prevent it.
