there is no problem with 12s

funny how he didnt think a guy like me wouldnt pickup on the red head on the motor in his picture only 850 come that way 800 are black

a 120 will not handle the 850 plus what where your setting on the motor

even a full collective pull out at 2150 at 13* will over amp the 120 its not design to handle what the motor wants to pull user error
timing
pwm

I thought there is a Red Version 800MX with the Pro Kits. The black version was sold separate. NVM Red version is only 440KV where 520KV is black.

Hmm it does look like 800mx if you zoom in. If so it has to be the 440kv one.

I would look at the logs to check the voltage ripple and that's all. I find it hard to believe that any esc would have settings that would cause it to go up in flames.

Then you are terribly missinformed. Make you current limiting insensitive or disabled, and just hover for a prolonged time with a very low throttle percentage (<60%) and wait for things happen. Add to that bad soldering, long wires and other resistance variables and you have an HV Castle go puff. Even better, try doing prolonged 3D with a very low throttle setting and you may not have to wait too long.

S

EDIT:
Today Castle uses better algorithms that will shutdown power if it detects a problem, but they cannot account for 100% of the issues that could arise.

Sorry I was taking my knowledge of setting up E helis and common sense for granted! I wasn't referring to those settings.

Hey Mr Capt USA Align Factory Team Align, why don't you try to help the guy who bought a kit and had the factory included equipment burn to the ground instead of bashing him and pointing fingers? Seems like the kind of thing the Capt USA Align Factory Team Align would want to do to help a customer Conquer Their heart.

Hey EURY because CC has there own set of rules as a company when this happens it's not an Align problem we buy the units and put them in the kits but everyone feels that is and it's not.

Just saying look what happened back it up with real info where are the logs. Also other people point out about wire length and solder joints etc etc. Also in most cases it's a setup issue all motors need to be setup a certain way ours and i have said this time and time again normal on timing and 12 pwm

So yes when someone it trying to say hey look i dont know what happened it just went poof.

And i find it very funny how with all this posts in this thread the starter has not come back at all with any info,

Your Capt

Av80R - Another question - what was your headspeed? Maybe this happened from too low of a headspeed?

Yeah Dino, this sure sounds like a guy who's just trying to help and not being defensive about his company's package:
there is no problem with 12s
funny how he didnt think a guy like me wouldnt pickup on the red head on the motor in his picture only 850 come that way 800 are black
a 120 will not handle the 850 plus what where your setting on the motor
even a full collective pull out at 2150 at 13* will over amp the 120 its not design to handle what the motor wants to pull user error
timing

There's always an excuse for poor customer service. You put the package together, and it should work when all the stuff in the box is assembled as the manual directs. Castle ESCs are fine, the 120 that came with my 700e has been great, as has the others that I've owned. It may very well be a setup issue, or just a random Castle Cremations occurrence, but at the end of the day it is YOUR JOB, Dino, to support your customers, not come on here and try to attack them. Offer help, or at least refer them to Castle, but attacking them publicly is the antithesis of what an employee/rep should be doing.

The best part is, he NEVER blamed Align. Yet here is the Align guy attacking him and accusing him of being deceptive.

We've really gone downhill from the days of Jeff Green at Hirobo.
