Oh, No you didn't!
That's exactly how the muggles see them and would have no problem weening us from them for our own good.

It would be in our best interest to STOP making threads about how dangerous they are.

Take the original thread or news story...learn from it...and STOP plastering it on so many different forums that the average house wife will see it just by Googling pictures of kittens.
This story is EVERYWHERE because of this community and it is so obscenely exaggerated, the entire world thinks that anyone that gets in contact with a heli is going to die.

Police yourselves guys and stop spreading the crazy s#!t...

Ban Model Helicopters Until Hobbyist’s is Investigated,
One city councilman asked the Dept of Parks & Rec to consider a temporary ban, while the investigation was conducted
http://blogs.wsj.com/metropolis/201...ouncilman-says/

the councilman called and implemented the temporary ban

A city councilman is calling for a temporary ban on remote-controlled helicopters around the city, including Brooklyn’s Calvert Vaux Park,

Safety warnings are not the same as fear mongering.

Keep that dictionary out a few more minutes...Maybe a few days.

Look up IGNORE while you're there...You're not doing it right.

There are several already on the market...Stop contributing to the fear mongering and look into the safety features ALREADY being implemented...I hope you have looked that up by now.lol...

Simple little things like these...

no one wanted to do it but it became law

Uline sells 27,500 different types of safety barriers.

Look that stuff up and not horror stories.

There are better ways to be safe than preaching about the hazards.
Preach prevention...Not consequences.

some people don't listen

some people can't hear

some people you have to be honest to them so they clearly understand
the facts.

I don't have anyone blocked and you're still not doing it right.

Fear mongering is not honesty...It's the opposite in fact.

The truth is that 0.0XX% of us will have a fatal accident with a heli.
That is a simple fact.

You can get a toddler fence. They are foldable and can be transported easily. Something like the below picture.

Right on Rudy.

A 700 would tear that fence up pretty bad but it would stop it.
The fence would be destroyed and need replaced afterwards but you would be spared any injury.

Even if it happens so fast you couldn't duck behind it...there is at least half your body behind it and if the heli is tilted,it would take out it's blades even if it was coming at your face.

It may not help in every situation but it would help in most of them or at least a great number of them.

lol...That's what some people think we need

We just need to keep doing things the way we're doing them and be careful.

The safety record is incredibly good right now.
You can't stop everything...People get hurt.
