Crazy but what is your flight time. And how are you controlling the tilt. I considering selling my huge hexa for one of these little guys.

I am getting about 7 minutes before hitting 10.6v, the first level of voltage protection in the Naza.

Controlling the tilt on the DJI Zenmuse gimbal with the DJI tilt lever that comes with the "upgrade kit".

Nate

Call me a party pooper but it's things like this that are going to cause the FAA and government to get more involved and try to regulate our hobby. It's just irresponsible. Sorry. Otherwise it looks like a lot of fun.

Point taken. There is always that risk that someone may not like what you are doing. In all fairness though the Phantom is quite small and light posing minimal threat plus it was about 4 in the morning and there was hardly anyone else on the road at the time fwiw.

I said crazy because the thought of what you did was freaking cool. I could tell it was late in the night when traffic was light. You had plenty of room to clear anything and you never lost site of the tiny quad. I wouldn't do it with my hexa unless it was day time and on a closed road. Which I might get the oppurtinity to do. We will have the roof down on my wrangler I will be standing on the back seat and chasing few road bikes.

FWIW, I think it's badass and the video turned out great but it's the way people are so crazy about FPV stuff these days that they're looking for more excuses to get involved. I could definitely tell that it was late at night. All it would take is one cop to stir things up but I'm glad that you were able to do it.

I'll be exploring with my NEX Neo soon and hope to get some great vids too.

What's your setup on the quad and FPV gear?

Thanks VKGT,

It is a stock Phantom with stock props and motors. Zenmuse gimbal GoPro H3 black. Immersion RC 600mW 5.8 video TX. Spiro net antennas.

All of my FPV gear is on my transmitter. Gonna make another video for that later.

Does the real-time view have the same resolution and clarity that the recorded view posted here has?

The recordered is usually 1080p on the gopro, but the video transmitters that are being used are only 480.

This very irresponsible, not even cool and is the fastest way to get us in all kinds of trouble. What about another car getting into a accident? What about running stop signs? I ready to put my camera on but I can tell you for sure this is the fastest way to get these outlawed. Does not matter what time or the fact that you think you have control. Malfunctions happen all the time. People seeing these from there house, I can see so many issue and don't understand why you want to post this. This is not what we are to be doing with them. Next will come restriction, laws, that will kill us. I can see this and other leading to no flying in city,no testing in your yard. My flying field is in the city and if banned every club field in the city will be off limits. I got lots of money and so do others into these and there will be no where we can fly these after a few more of this type of footage or it causing a accident. Closed road thing maybe not a issue but to run stop signs, stop your car in the street to land. I don't why anyone thinks this is cool . Hold the go pro in your hand and get the same footage. I can't believe this footage is even allowed on this site. Nothing personal but showing this and the one casing a car is wrong and we will be banned soon. I really like the option to test fly in my yard and to be able to fly at my club feild, just my opinion but I think doing and showing this is will lead to no future for us.
