Newsletter Update September 2013

FBL Rotors is pleased to announce the first in a series of metal components for Synergy helicopters and other related brands.

Synergy Tail Rotor Bell Crank:

FBL has started production of a metal tail rotor bell crank with a Bronze/Alloy insert. This will allow the ball to rotate freely in the socket. This bell crank is machined from a high strength aluminum with a bright clear anodized finish and the above mentioned material for the insert. The insert will be replaceable if needed. We have also increased the ball thread size from 2MM to 3MM for a more robust attachment point.

The existing bearings and spacer will be exchanged for you current plastic bell crank to our metal version. You will need to replace a 2MM threaded ball to a 3MM as used on the swashplate for the tail rotor pushrod attachment.

Below is the finish product

Many modelers have asked for this upgrade, so I hope this is great news for you.
I have listed them in the store for those who would like to be on the waiting list.

They will be shipping out on 10/05/2013

The cost of this item will be $24.95 per unit.

Synergy Damping System:

We have developed a damping system for all Synergy helicopters that can be installed in the existing head blocks. This kit will consist of two machined parts and molded rubber components that have extremely tight tolerances for consistency. Various shores hardness will be offered to tune toward you flying style.

A similar designed has been used in Europe in the Speed and 3D ships. Conversely the design has been used in low speed rotor heads for Turbine models with a 3MM Rotor disk .

Turnbuckles:

We made number sets of titanium turnbuckles for the E7SE. They are now listed on the site.

If you are a Mikado flyer I have made sets for the 500 to 800 series. The 500-600 models used 2.5 titanium turnbuckles and the 700-800 has been upgraded to 3.5MM. These sets have been built with Mikado OEM plastic links. I will list these soon.

Battery Trays:

All Battery Trays are in stock for Synergy E Series

Thanks for your support

Ralph

I ended up breaking two of the plastic ones last weekend. I'll definitely be giving these a try, Ralph.

Would love these on all my Synergy heli's (4). Ralph can you do anything on the international shipping charge? Surely these can't cost $40 to ship?

The bell cranks can be placed in a padded envelope. This is more cost effective

On a case by cases basis I can review the shipping cost and will only charge that amount

I need to set up a dealer in the UK for our product line as I need to have a presence in you country.

Please PM me with your suggestions as I need some market intelligence.

Thanks

Ralph
