Ok i have a tail vibration on my Radikal G-30. IT never had any vibration until i crashed it about 2 months ago. I put all new parts, tail boom, rear transmission case, gears, etc. Ever since i've had some tail wagging & the tail blades seem to have vibration in them.

I took the Torque tube off & re installed the belt drive components. I just got thru hovering it & it still has some vibration in the tail blades. You can definitely see it... But the tail wagging is not as bad now.. Ok i need some ideas on what to look for as this is driving me nuts. The tail blades are in balance & weigh the same according to the scale...
Any help would be appreciated...

After all that work and it's still vibrating !?

My guess is that it's comming from your head or engine. A slight tuning issus is going to show in the tail and an out of balance head also.

I recently ended up with a bent main shaft ( I don't know how yet ! ) and my tail was waggin like hell. All I had to do was the main shaft !

I'm just saying it could be from elseware, especialy after a crash.

I replaced the main shaft as well during my re-build. I haven't changed any of the carb settings since before the crash & the tail was solid...I'am running a Total G controller. I'am just puzzled on where it could be at. Its not in the feathering shaft as i have 0 pitch on both blades at 50% stick...

Tail vibration
First thoughts in my mind are "Did you replace the tail rotor output shaft? and did you replace the tailrotor hub?"

+1 on the tail output shaft and the hub. I crashed a Raven, rebuilt and chased a tail wag for weeks. Turned out to be the shaft and hub.

Maybe the clutch is wobbling.

Balance the tail blades "assembly" as a whole unit and double check trust bearings.

Update: Think i found the problem. I was spinning the main gear around & in one spot there was a tight spot. So i dropped motor & pulled the clutch bell assembly out & noticed all the bearings were shot. So guessing maybe thats where the vibration was coming from. I'am going to replace all the bearings & see if it helps any...

Now just waiting on bearings to arrive so can see if that's the fix or not.
