i don't see many post about this model. I'm looking for a 600 size nitro and the fury is very interesting but i don't want to get stuck with another discondinued model (like my 3d+)...
i need to decide between a jr 50 nex or the fury.
Any comments to help me decide are welcome...

I have the Vibe50 and I have the Fury55. The Vibe 50 is close to the nex minus some metal upgrades. The Furry55 will be around for sometime. Jr parts can get pretty expensive. The Vibe is T/T and the Fury55 is belt driven. Do u have a preference.

The 55 is an outstanding model. Part of what makes MA's customer service so great is the fact they support older models by continuing to sell replacement parts long after the models production runs.

The Furion 6 and Fury 55 share many interchangeable parts between the models. Parts will be available for them for a long time coming.

I had a Fury 55 and it was an amazing machine. Extremely responsive and everything that I could have wanted in a Nitro model. I only let it go because I'm permanently out of nitros.

Fury 55
I have both the Fury 55 and a Vibe 50. The Fury is hands down a better machine. The belt drive is way more durable and because it is done right does not have the drag most belt setups are plagued with. Only two changes MA could do to make it better. Put on some white skids and move the tail servo to the opposite side.

I was on the wait list for a Vibe about a year before it came out. Honestly, I loved that model. It built like a dream and flew very well. It did get pricy to repair, though. I sold it a few years ago and heard from the new owner that parts are a bit higher now, for various reasons. It's a good model, no doubt.

When the Fury 55 came out, I jumped on that waiting list. I can say it is outstanding. I do like it better than the Vibe, and the parts costs are much more reasonable and plentiful. I've got kit #12, and she's still going strong, with no failures in many hours of flight.
I would chose this model over the Vibe, hands down.

Earlier this summer I did a standard crash parts cost between the Fury 55, and two other leading 50's. The Fury came in second cheapest to repair....by less than $12 !!

Like MXRACERX43 said, you won't have to worry about the Fury falling into the dreaded "EOL" status (End of Life) that many other models do. MinAir is still making parts for models from decades ago.

I went through the same Q/A process over the last month or so in looking for a new Nitro heli.

I used to fly MA about 20 years ago (Excel 30, Graphite 46, Graphite Custom 60SE, Old Fury 50, Old Fury 60, Old Fury 80) built and flown many Excels for others as well.

In a dispute over a warranty claim with MA about 10 years ago, I got frustrated and stopped flying MA for other more economical brands.

I've owned and flown most of the popular 50 sized heli's since then (Raptor, Century, Hirobo Sceadu, Vibe 50, Trex 600, Hirobo SDX).

I got into electric Logo's a few years ago and stiopped flying Nitro until I recently lost all my Lipo's in a strange Lipo fire in my car that resulted in a total Write Off of my car and all my Lipo's.

I'm bailing out on Big electric as I'm worried about burning down my house next (did my car already!) and going back to Nitro.

I did another search and landed on the MA Fury 55 and pretty excited to be flying MA again and supporting a North American manufacturer.

Kinda feels like going home again!

Cheers,

John

The Fury is actually my first heli. The quality of parts is amazing, and MA's customer support is unbelievable. Part cost isn't too bad, it isn't as cheap as a Align, But isn't too expensive. Availability will always be there. If you take a look at MA's site, they are still supporting parts for models that were produced many years ago. I would defiantly recommend it!
Here's a video i got from a flight back in April. Has an OS .50 Hyper in it.
