Yeah. I tried out 4s a while back on my 450. Then went to a 6s setup. I never looked back after that. Lol.

It does very well on 3s And I'd recommend it to the guy who has a bunch of 3s packs laying around!

If your buying new (Never owned a 450) then i'd go 6s

I decided on the Align and the OptiPower packs. The Align packs fit better and don't require notching out the frames to get the CG where it's supposed to be. The Align packs are a little bit less Amperage than the OptiPower as well.

I got her hovering 1st time yesterday! No problems and stable!

Inside:
Castle Creations Edge Lite 50
Scorpion 2221-2010 w/12T Pinion
Cyclics: KST DS215MG
Tail KST DS515MG
AR 7200BX
Gen Ace 6s 1200

Bought the torque tube locking collars upgrade.

My one-way hub (that you have to glue) had the threads in it, so I'm gonna use this original with the kit and see how it goes.

Here's my main blades (cheap):

When I originally ordered the motor from innov8tive, I selected the wrong pinion When I finally read somewhere what the correct one is, I found it and called innov8tive and she said it was the last one. This was last Monday 12/30. Here's the product:

I am loving this Heli. It is a beast. I have only been able to fly it at indoor events so I haven't really got to open her up yet, but wow. Come on warmer non snow filled weather.
Here's my set up
Scorpion HK 2520 1580KV w/ 13 tooth pinion
CC edge lite 50 ESC
CC 10 amp BEC
Spin blades 350
KST DS215mg. Cyclic
KST DS515mg Tail
KBDD tail blades
AR7200BX with satellite
DX9
It is a super stable and quick to respond.

The other day I finally tried to fit the canopy onto the X3 after shakedown test hovers in backyard (weather awful here - grounded for over a week).

As you all may know, it's a very tight fit especially with ESC and battery wires up front as most do. I have an NX4 (love it!), and I sure wish Gaui would make their canopies larger. I don't know about your experiences, but after various tries and comments I finally drilled 2 more holes thru the fiberglass about 1/2 inch further aft and moved the grommets there. Works great for me.

Here's my X3:
Align 460MX (1800kv) w/ 3.5mm 12T pinion
CC edge lite 50 ESC
RJX 360mm CF blades FBL
KST DS215mg Cyclic
KST DS515mg Tail
BeastX v3 with DSMX satellite
Gens Ace 6s 40C 1400 maH
DX9

Unfortunately I bought mine mid Nov and winter has been awful here so it has limited my flying opportunities. I've only been able to do some upright & inverted hovering and spot pirouettes in the park directly across the street from my house so she's barely broken in. It has been pure ice everywhere so I'm being patient. Can't wait for the good weather to come so I can open 'er up.
