Saw it on another site. Heli externally looks the same and has the Same 112 main gear but with a 16t pinion [instead of 11t] and 730mx 850 kv motor. It comes with 550 FBL blades. My question for you electron experts is compared to the former power plant [1220 kv 11t pinion 520 blades] what will the differences in performance be between the 2? Will run time be lower with the lower kv motor but more power? I am assuming it still runs a 5000mah 6c. Just curious.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

6s setups are usually 1100kv all the way up to 1400kv. 12s is usually 500kv to 560kv. In this 550 size that is. Other size helis can be different. Having that odd kv and tooth count I could be wrong. Does it say what size the heli is? I know you said 550 blades but that doesnt say the size of the heli. I have a 600 with 520 blades...

Kv makes no sense to be a 6s setup

That's the reason for my post. It seems like a very different setup and wondered how you guys that know about electric heli's think it will perform.

I have been proved wrong before but I don't know if I would invest in that setup until I see it fly. I'm sure there's a test flight video out there.

The motor dimensions are much larger than the old 550 motor. Hopefully that translates into that much more power Although it seems like a strange kv for a 6s setup. Align has put out some great motors lately, hopefully this one follows in their footsteps.

KV would make a lot of sense if the main gear ratio is changed to match it. What ultimately matters is that the motor is run at it's rated efficient range for the desired headspeed. Example: Align pilots I saw at IRCHA were running 490KV motors in their 700's with a gear change for the high headspeed.

May have to pick one of these up

So guys what are your predictions on performance ? More power but less run time? More power same run time? More power longer run time? Less power longer run time?

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

1 to 7 ratio
850*25.2=21420
21420*.85eff=18207
18207/7=2601 ~ headspeed
Must a be torquey motor

Copied from my other post.
