I had the exact same thing happen to my RJX muffler. Posted photos of it on the othe site. I was luckily because the place I bought it from took it back and refunded my money. I running a century V2 muffler now.

you're lucky

there are quite a few stories of large parts of them simply falling off.

there's a reason its sold so cheaply.

Although I don't care for the sound, they actually perform well. May have to do with it being an almost exact copy of the Hatori. But not worth blowing up a helicopter if part of it goes into the rotor head.

I have had an RJX Split open but never ooze
I bought another RJX for my Spectra for 50.00 bucks. I have a feeling the first one may have split because I was breaking in a new Hanson Pro Plus 29cc with it. The motor is broken in now and is much smoother so we will see how long this one lasts. I know it is not the best quality but it is very quiet and where I fly that is important.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

May very well be so
(no nice fields)

But certainly do take a papertowel and some cleaning liquid and clean it after every outing so its like new again. I clean mine daily and they fly off nice grass fields.

Also, I hope and pray that you have an air filter on it!!

i prefer compressed air and brush...and every now and then brake fluid for oily stains...the photos were taken right after the flight (on top of the car) and before the clean-up...i didnt expect that the dirt would attract THAT much attention..!!...
