I just finished my marvelcraft bell 407. Hovered once and found that the skids in the kit are pretty week.
Does anyone know of a upgraded type or some thing alittle more rugged?
Thanks

i make my own. i also have a 407 and its currently using the stock gear but even tho i will replace them with scale skids, i dont find them weak at all, just not to scale. they hold up so far to a few autos ive done that were less than cushy
ive made several sets of gears for my scale birds using brakeline tubing from the auto parts store, very easy to do once you get the hang of bending.

drive a rotary, fly a rotorcraft

Not sure they are stronger than the ones you have but certainly more scale. From Jestrr
