I have been out of the hobby for a long time (over 5 years) and thinking of getting back into it. I have been doing other things like racing RC boats and building a couple real cars for show and shine. I have been on and off of this site for awhile trying to keep tabs on whats hot and new but so much has happened it just really hard to keep up. So I guess this is a hey whats up again guys im trying to get back in it.

Trying not to put them in the dirt.

Welcome back. You will find that heli's have come down in price and changed a lot for the better in the last 5 years.

I see from your post history you're looking into nitro helis.

The newer engines are AWESOME compared to your 600N five years ago.
If you end up with that 700N you're interested in,I strongly suggest the OS105HZ-R engine.

And don't miss out on the new flybarless tech...It will make your comeback much smoother.

Yes i have been looking at getting back into a 600 or 700 size heli. I had a Trex 700N and wish that I had not got rid of it. I am looking its just a cash thing right now since getting out of the hobby me and my wife have had 2 kids so the money train is a little thinner these days lol. I might have a OutRage Velocity 50 that I traded one of my RC trucks for so that helped but I really want to get back into a 700 size heli.

I see you recently bought a tail gyro that isn't going to work very well with that FBL V50.

V Bar and BeastX are the go to flybarless units nowadays.

Good thing is good used nitro airframes are VERY cheap compared to what they once were. You should have no trouble finding a nice used machine for a reasonable price.

Being stuck on the couch and in bed a couple weeks ago got me back on Runryder after about 5 years. Before I knew it I had bought a used nano CPX, Nano QX, T-rex 250 and a TT E325.

Now that I'm finally feeling better I have them in the air (other than the 250...tail issues) and forgot how much fun this stuff was. I need to dust off and go through my old Raptor 30 V2 and see if I can get that back in the air.

Prices sure have come down from what I remember, that was the biggest shock. That and blade/e-flite going from only making very basic 'toys' to making some decent stuff. I wish they had been like this when I was in high school trying to fly.
