Purchased the Custom Heli Parts Res 2 frame set for my 700E mainly for the rear exiting battery trays. Got them all assembled and tried sliding my battery packs in and utilizing the straps to hold the batteries to the tray, they would NOT FIT!! I was so ticked off. But I did not give up. I had to find a way to use the batteries (couldn't afford to buy new ones) so I decided I needed to somehow "brace" them to the tray from end to end not side to side. THis is what I came up with. Utilized a 550 boom brace. Stuck the batteries to the tray with double sided tape and clamped em down with the boom brace.

Did he crash? Dang, I missed it!

This is what this hobby is about .

I would just make sure that it is not developing a pressure point or two where the tube is always digging in.

Thanks
The bar is not really tight against the batteries at all. The bar is just to prevent the battery from falling off the double sided tape under its own weight.
