So are the SG14 gimbals ball bearing supported or bushings?

Thanks,
John

One ball bearing per gimbal axis.
Each stick has two (2) axes - dual ball bearing.

Correct. The 12's, 14MZ, and 18MZ were/are specifically designated quad bearing to describe four bearings per stick assembly.

The 8FG and 14SG share the same stick assemblies.

Ben, I assume the bearing is on the pot end ?

My favorite gimbals of all time are the 9VHP which only have one bearing opposite the pot which is a servo pot with a different brass shaft.

Can you physically see them when you take the radio apart? I could not see any ball bearings.
