So I run a 2s directly to my receiver.. run Torq HV's 9180's on the cyclic.. 9188 out back.. through a v-bar and 2 DSMX sats. I need a new receiver pack. What is everyone else running? I have seen ranges from 800-5000 mah. I think somewhere in between is the ticket, 2000-2600, but I would guess the higher the mah, the longer you can go between charges. I have been researching this for 3 days and haven't seen a good thread on it. Toss me some ideas..

The Rx pack should be determined by balance(CG) and the number of flights you want. Get an average mAh per consumed per flight and don't forget about the 80% rule.

hello,

I know what you mean, there to many to pick from but that's a good thing.

there's are the pack's I use.

and I have also used these...

now I would not go lower the say 2500mah.

what heli do you have??

that will also be a deciding factor.

sorry I posted some links but its not working.
let me get some pics.

but I get mine from heli direct and I use the green pulse 2cell packs.
I like the 3600mah and the 2550mah packs.

well for one the more mah the batter is the bigger it is.

also what you said is right about the more mah the longer you can go on a charge.

yea.. I am good with a lower mah, I guess I need to know how much it draws per flight to determine my best scenario.

currently I can only do one 6-8 minute flight.. at a time.. then off to cool down.. its kinda hot here, plus I am limited on times of day I can fly and my charging capabilities are not the greatest. I am deployed.. with my heli's..

Another thing to keep in mind is the Discharge "C" rating. According to the HD battery description the pulse RX packs are rated for a 6C max discharge rate. So the small 2550mah pack would be rated for a max discharge current of 15amps while the larger 5000mah would be capable of a max 30amp discharge current capability.

I was thinking somewhere in the 2400-2600mah 25-30c discharge range.. that would provide enough punch.. and 5-6 flights... bring 2 freshies to the field, (at home of course), when the first one is spent, on the charger she'll go and by the time I am ready for another, the first should be charged. It does seem, though, that one could use a 1500 mah 30c battery and get 3 flights from it...
