How de we change the throttle position point where the GV1 turns on and Off on landings and takeoff's

mine throttles up nicely (on the curve) but stays engaged prety far down the stick so much that it pushes the heli to the ground hard like a U-curve.

Thanks

Jeffrey

There is a post I saw last night that shows you how to fine tune the Gv1. Look for the post on run Ryder from Raja. The video link is attached to this post.

I know about Raja's post but i don-t see where it talks about the stick position. What option/ variable i should play with.
Thanks

I found it much easier to turn the GV1 gov off in normal mode. I have the throttle curve set for lower rpms for warming up the engine or just some nice lower head speed flight. Then it is always a smooth transition as you throttle up.

and to add to Toms post, if you're radio supports expanding mixing, you can simply set a stick mix in normal mode that turns the governor off at whatever position you want it to.

There is a hidden setting in the GV1 that appears to address the throttle percentage that engagenent occurs but since I don't use the GV1 anymore I can't test it

In the 701/750 setting the engagement position is simple its exposed on the Governor Expert menu

GV1
It turns on and off depending on your throttle curve. Needs to be at least 20 points on a 0 to 100 scale for it to turn off.

If your throttle curves are too low, in other words the engine is overspeeding before midstick and you've lowered them to less than 20 point to stop this from happening, then take the throttle servo horn, back it up 1 tooth and turn the link out about 4 turns to get the same idle speed you had before and your throttle curve numbers will come up, in other words you will be able to make it come on sooner.

If its coming on too early, then do the opposite to get it to come on later.

Ideally you want it to come on about 1/3 stick so that by the time you reach 0 stick in your throttling up for liftoff you're already at operating rpms at which point you pull in the collective above 1/2 stick and lift off.

Should be hovering around 2/3rd stick or 1 hash mark above half upright, and hovering around 1/3rd stick or 1 hash mark below half stick inverted (in idle up of-course).
